A 300,000 year old skull was discovered in China and shows a mix of features belonging to both very early humans and Neanderthals. The skull is much older than the initial migration out of Africa and suggests a more complex history of early humans. It challenges existing theories of early human evolution and suggests more varieties of early people may be out there.
