Post navigation Beijing has seen its worst flooding in 140 years this year. The flooding has been attributed to the rapid urban expansion, decreased permeable land, and inadequate drainage infrastructure that have been put into place in the city. Beijing should focus on investing in infrastructure that will protect against flooding in order to prevent future catastrophic events. On August 5th, 2023, three people were critically injured in a shooting in Adams Morgan, Washington D.C. Police are appealing for information from the public as well as reports of a red or burgundy colored car that was seen leaving the scene. The three victims, two males and one female, were taken to a nearby hospital where their conditions are unknown.
