An artificial intelligence system named Asteroid Impact Deflection Assessment (AIDA) mission has identified a space object of interest that could be a potentially dangerous asteroid. Scientists believe that if the assessment concludes that the asteroid might head toward Earth, the team will launch a second spacecraft to collide with it and deviate its trajectory. The mission is part of the European Space Agency’s preparations for possible asteroid-related emergencies.
