An astronomer in New York City set up their own telescope in the middle of an intersection so that passersby could experience a rare view of Saturn. The telescope was set up in response to heavy air pollution obscuring the view of the night sky in the city. This event provided pedestrians a unique way to observe the wonders of the solar system.
