Argentina is set to hold the first round of its presidential primary elections on August 13th and 14th. Voters will be selecting the presidential nomination for the main party, Peronism, and the Frente de Todos coalition. Polls have shown that the leading contenders in this election are current vice president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, and former cabinet chief, Alberto Fernández. This primary will determine who will face Argentina’s current President, Mauricio Macri, in the general election.
