California lost over $3 billion from the two-month writers strike, according to a study compiled by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. It harmed Businesses in entertainment industries, such as talent agencies, production and post-production services, and hotels and restaurants. The study also showed that a prolonged writers strike would have cost California up to $8.2 billion in the near future.
