Charles Martinet, the voice actor behind one of the most iconic video game characters Mario, has retired from his role. Martinet has been providing the voice and motion for the character since the start of the video game series in 1996, and has had a total of 8 other popular characters he’s voiced for the franchise. Mario will be played by another actor in future, with Nintendo thanking Martinet for his 25 years of service.
