China’s industrial profits saw a recent seven-month slump as of August, dropping by 3.3% compared to a year ago. This is mainly attributed to a decrease of 6.3% in high-tech manufacturing profits and a 6% decrease in processing manufacturing profits. Softening domestic demand has contributed to the weakened profits, affecting companies across the board. This ongoing slump shows China’s economic slowdown is deepening.
