Conservative MP Nadine Dorries dramatically resigned from Parliament this week, concluding her 18-year tenure with a remarkably candid and critical attack on Chancellor Rishi Sunak. She cited a lack of opportunities for aspiring female MPs, as well as an unfairly negative spotlight cast upon her for pursuing an international business venture, as her some of her reasoning for her departure.
