Diomaye Faye, a former prime minister and member of the ruling party, is expected to win the presidential election in Senegal. Faye has promised to prioritize economic growth and job creation, as well as address issues of corruption and inequality. The election has been largely peaceful, with Faye’s main opponent, opposition leader Ousmane Sonko, conceding defeat and congratulating Faye on his victory.
