Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows has asked a Georgia state judge to prevent him from having to appear for a deposition in Trump’s lawsuit to overturn the 2020 presidential election result. Meadows’ attorney argued that his constitutional rights as a U.S. congressman for North Carolina would be violated if he were arrested and forced to appear in Georgia. The judge ultimately denied the request.
