Elon Musk, an American business magnate and investor, has been called “the biggest purveyor of disinformation” by a European Commission executive vice-president. The comments were made in response to Musk’s “erratic” behaviour on Twitter, which included undermining public trust in the efficacy of vaccines and suggesting that the COVID-19 pandemic was being exaggerated. The EC executive destroyed Musk’s actions, calling on tech giants to do more to stop the spread of misinformation.
