The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 200 block of Wayne Place SE. There have been no suspects identified yet, and the Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the shooting. At least six police officers in Myanmar were killed by unidentified assailants in the second such attack in the country in two days. The attack took place when the officers were responding to a security incident in an area that borders India and China. This comes following several days of escalating tensions in the region.
