Google search is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Despite testing an AI-powered virtual assistant on guests’ devices in hotels, Google search unknowingly made information from the conversations publically available. Even more concerning is that Google was unable to act quickly on the issue, leaving the conversations open for eight months before they were taken down. Needless to say, this careless secrecy breach has hurt its reputation.
