Heavy rainfall caused a flash flood on the Navajo Nation in Arizona, resulting in the drowning of one person, and the rescue of others by a Navajo police helicopter. The floodwater destroyed 57 homes and hundreds of vehicles, and the Navajo Nation declared a state of emergency. The area is now stabilizing and clean up operations are underway.
