Hurricane Beryl has claimed at least four lives in the Caribbean, bringing heavy rainfall, “life-threatening” winds, and flooding. The storm, a Category 5 with winds up to 165 mph, is the strongest July hurricane ever recorded. It is currently 235 miles southeast of the Dominican Republic and moving towards Mexico. Three people died in Grenada and one in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Grenada’s Prime Minister reported extensive damage, downed power lines, and impassable roads.
