In something of a historic precedent, a 306-year-old treaty between the UK and France has been reaffirmed by treaty-used cannon fire in commemoration of a Franco-British friendship. Rediscovered in 2020 and signed by both countries, the Glorious Revolution Treaty of 1713 was reaffirmed in the dramatic style of a traditional cannon salute. This was symbolically effective in demonstrating the strong alliance and camaraderie between the two countries, during a time when many challenging matters face them.
