India is set to launch their first space based observatory on September 2nd which will be used to study the Sun. The mission, known as Aditya-L1, will be India’s first mission to observe the Sun and according to the Indian Space Research Organization, will give a better understanding of the activity of the Sun. Once the satellite is deployed, it is expected to operate for at least 3 years.
