India’s attempted mission to the moon sadly did not reach its intended outcome. After India’s Chandrayaan-2 craft safely navigated the long lunar night and began powering back up, it failed to reach full operation. Unfortunately, communication with the craft was lost and the mission is now presumed to be a complete failure. India still made history as the first nation to complete a successful soft landing on the moon’s south pole. Despite this disappointment, India’s mission may still prove to set the foundation for future successes.
