Post navigation Oshae Sibley, a 21-year-old black man, was fatally stabbed in upstate New York in what is believed to be a hate crime. His attacker, a white man, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The incident is being investigated by local and state authorities, in collaboration with the FBI, to determine if this homicide was rooted in racism. Suicide rates in America have increased alarmingly since 1999. In particular, suicides among those aged 10-14 has tripled while suicides among those aged 45-64 has doubled. The CDC is studying this alarming trend in order to prevent further deaths by suicide.
