Michigan was hit by severe storms, including several tornadoes, in early August, causing widespread damage and power outages. Around 125,000 Michiganders were still without power days after the storm, with energy companies and local officials doing their best to restore the service. Unfortunately, the destruction caused numerous fatalities and injuries, as well as significant damage to structures that may take a long time to repair. The state is now working to pick up the pieces and help people affected by the deadly storms.
