NASA has developed a ‘wired’ system of wires that will connect all the components of the upcoming Roman Space Telescope. This 45-mile long ‘nervous system’ is made up of thousands of optical fibers which will help bring data from all sources to a single point for processing. This technology could also be used to improve other sensitive instruments in the future.
