NASA is launching a rescue mission to the ISS on Sept. 26. Astronauts Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov will fly on SpaceX’s Crew-9 mission. Originally, Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson were to join, but were replaced by Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who are stranded on the ISS due to issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. The Starliner had thruster malfunctions and helium leaks, leading NASA to decide to return it without its crew. Wilmore and Williams will return with Crew-9 in February 2025.
