Nasa recently maneuvered the STEREO-A spacecraft to successfully perform a flyby of Earth. The flyby maneuver allowed the spacecraft to slingshot past Earth and into a better position to continue its mission of studying the Sun and its environment. Such a successful encounter has reinvigorated the agency with excitement for further deep-space exploration.
