NASA scientists recently tracked two asteroids near Earth and discovered one has a small moon. Astronomers monitor asteroid trajectories to prevent potential collisions and gather valuable data. These space rocks, remnants from the solar system’s formation, provide insights into our cosmos. Using planetary radar via the Deep Space Network, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory captured images and tracked the asteroids. The Deep Space Network, a system of Earth-based radio antennae, aids in space communication and radar imaging.
