New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is facing calls for his resignation following the corruption case against his longtime confidante and former top aide, Robert Menendez. Menendez was convicted of 14 counts of bribery and corruption on Wednesday, and many say Murphy’s close relationship to him is cause for concern when looking at corruption in government. Murphy himself and his staff deny any wrongdoing and have committed to fighting for Menendez’s innocence.
