Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has sternly warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy against insulting Polish people again, after Zelenskyy made remarks during a speech that injured Polish citizens’ feelings. Morawiecki claimed his country isn’t afraid to take legal action to protect its interests and respect of its citizens if necessary. The Ukrainian president has since apologised and acknowledged the need for a stronger bilateral relationship with Poland. Despite the tension, the two countries aim to ease relations while building mutual trust.
