Post navigation In South Korea, extreme heat has caused a scouting jamboree to be cancelled due to poor air quality and the high temperatures. 10,000 scouts were expected to attend the event which aimed to promote international friendship. The government has issued a ban on citizens to go outside to reduce exposure to the extreme heat. Conference realignment saw Oregon lose out on an opportunity to join the Big Ten while Arizona was able to join the Big 12. Oregon may feel especially disappointed for missing out on the Big Ten due to the historical metrics and visibility that comes with that conference. While Arizona may have an easier road to success in the Big 12 due to the conference’s higher concentration of teams in the western United States.
