Qualcomm has announced that its new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, the 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2, will be faster and more accurate than its previous version. The new sensor will be featured on the upcoming Snapdragon 888 chipset and is expected to be 50% faster than the previous generation.
