Post navigation The US Boy Scouts sent a delegation to South Korea to determine whether the West Sea Jamboree, which was initially planned for 2021 and postponed due to the pandemic, should be held in 2023. High temperatures and other health risks have caused the US Scouts to pull out of the Jamboree, with their delegates returning to the US. The rest of the international groups will make their own decisions on attending or not. Karen Vergata, originally from Connecticut, has been identified as one of the victims of the infamous Gilgo Beach murders in New York. She disappeared in 1995 and was just recently identified after the Suffolk County Police Department conducted a review on evidence recovered on the beach from 2011 to 2013. Vergata’s disappearance has largely gone unresolved for 25 years.
