Russia and Ukraine have been in an ongoing conflict since the 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia. Both sides routinely accuse each other of violating the 2015 Minsk Agreement, a ceasefire deal which is supposed to end the conflict. Recently, the U.S. and other countries have stepped in to condemn the escalation of hostilities in the region.
