Russia’s government has removed Sergei Surovikin from his post as head of Russia’s Aerospace Forces. Surovikin is being replaced by Col-General Andrei Yudin, who was formerly the deputy chief of army operations and will now be promoted to deputy defence minister. Surovikin is being reassigned to a less prominent role in the military.
