Post navigation In August 2023, an exceptionally rare astronomical event will occur, in which the Moon passes close to Jupiter in the night sky. Usually such events occur every 13 years, but due to the moon’s orbital cycle relative to that of Jupiter, the event occurring in 2023 will be the closest event seen in over 400 years. The event will be visible from Earth without a telescope. A bus carrying the Marshall University women’s tennis team crashed on their way to West Virginia, leaving the driver dead and the players injured. The bus driver, Brian K. Kirk, was killed at the scene and the players were taken to WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently conducting an investigation.
