Sixty years ago civil rights activists marched on Washington, DC, in a demonstration of solidarity that would come to be known as the March on Washington. Now, groups are commemorating the legendary event by recreating the protest, a culmination of civil rights celebrations throughout the summer. Demonstrators are continuing to stand for social justice and racial equality and are calling on the nation to rise for change.
