Space tourists are exposed to high levels of cosmic radiation which can affect fertility and embryo development. In light of this, experts advise female space tourists to use precautionary measures against getting pregnant in order to protect the health of themselves and any potential baby. This includes the use of contraceptives and other preventive measures including MRI scans to detect potential negative effects of cosmic radiation.
