The Pac-12 will be reorganizing its conference with the two teams being replaced by Arizona State and Colorado. MMA fighter Nate Diaz used a homophobic slur for fellow fighter Jake Paul during a live stream which caused widespread backlash from the MMA and LGBTQ+ communities. Diaz apologized soon after and was suspended three days by the California State Athletic Commission. Ultimately, Diaz paid a price for his use of the term, while highlighting the need to continue to eradicate language that drives divisions between people.
