The Air Force has proposed budgeting $58 billion over 5 years to build an AI powered aircraft called the Valkyrie. It will use advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to independently identify enemies and make decisions on engaging with them. The Valkyrie will potentially be able to fly solo missions without a pilot on board and reduce the workload on pilots by taking on many of the manual tasks associated with flying. With this ambitious plan, the US Air Force could revolutionize aerial warfare over the coming years.
