The Chandrayaan-2 moon mission that was launched on July 22nd of this year tragically appears to have failed. After 5 days of successfully orbiting the moon, the lander lost contact with the Indian Space Research Organisation just before its scheduled landing. Efforts to reestablish communication with the lander have been fruitless, and it is feared that the mission has been unsuccessful.
