Post navigation Ukrainian state-run media has reported that two of it’s vessels were damaged by Russian drones in the Black Sea. Russia has denied involvement in the incident and accused Ukraine of trying to provoke a conflict. The US and NATO urged both sides to de-escalate the situation and to resolve any conflict peacefully. The attempted coup in Niger, led by Russian mercenary Wagner group, was foiled by the country’s military force. The operation was launched to overthrow the government and restore power to General Ibrahim Mainassara, a former president. Though the military managed to block the attack and maintain the current regime, the implications of the plot demonstrate Western nations’ vulnerability to Russian interference.
