The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh has sparked tense relations between Russia and the US. After a ceasefire was broken, both nations have traded diplomatic blame over the increased instability in the region. Each accuse the others of failing to meet the obligations of the ceasefire agreement as violence continues to escalate. Geopolitical analysts have declared this as the worst violence between Armenia and Azerbaijan since the 90s. Nearly 1,200 people have died in as a result.
