The Department of Justice has appealed the sentences of four men of the Oath Keepers militia group. These sentences were imposed after the men were convicted in relation to the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection. The department is now asking the court to sentence the defendants to significantly shorter prison terms than what was initially ordered.
