The Maui Fire Department is responding to a brush fire that started in Kaanapali Wednesday afternoon. Fire crews from both Napili and Lahaina have arrived at the scene, and the fire is currently 20 acres in size with 15-20 mph winds pushing it east. Helicopters are assisting on the ground with water drops, and people in the area are being urged to evacuate and avoid the area until further notice. No injuries have been reported so far, and the cause of the fire is still undetermined.
