As part of the transition, the Pac-12 will gain a substantial amount of revenue from the move. Although there are still many details to be sorted out, the move to the Big Ten appears to be going forward. On September 10th, 2017, a single solar flare was recorded by NASA astronauts and researchers. This enormous outburst of energy from the sun was felt across the whole solar system, including from Earth, Moon and Mars, all at the same time. This is the first recorded event of its kind, demonstrating the power and reach of our sun.
