The Perseid meteor shower is expected to be visible in Colorado on August 11th through the 13th as long as clear skies and bright moonlight don’t interfere. The shooting stars are caused by debris from the tail of comet Swift-Tuttle and will be most visible during the peak hours of the morning and late night. Stargazers are advised to face northeast and find a spot away from areas with a lot of light in order to have the best chance of seeing the meteors.
