The Republican Party is considering changing its primary calendar in the next Presidential election to move some of its states ahead of competitors and give former President Donald Trump an advantage. Early primary states like Iowa and South Carolina could potentially be moved to later dates, allowing larger, winner-take-all states to go first and compile more delegates in support of a Trump nomination. This would be a radical shake-up for the GOP primary system and the Democratic Party is expected to oppose the move.
