The Ukrainian army has reclaimed a strategic village from Russia-backed separatists following weeks of intense fighting. After heavy artillery strikes, Robotyne, in the southeastern region of Ukraine, has been declared liberated by the Ukrainian authorities. It marks a major victory for the country’s forces against the separatists, who have been in control of the area since 2014. Although the fight for it has been costly, this victory brings Ukraine a step closer to restoring its territorial integrity.
