The X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM), planned for launch in 2023, is a joint endeavor between NASA and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). This mission seeks to observe and analyze X-ray sources in space to gain a greater understanding of our universe. XRISM will help scientists obtain X-ray data to better understand black holes, neutron stars, and the interstellar medium.
