This article discusses how cells communicate with each other to promote a healthy physical environment in which they live. Using a combination of microscopy, biochemical and genetic techniques, researchers were able to observe and measure communication occurring between human cells. This finding sheds light on how cells communicate with each other in order to maintain a healthy homeostatic state.
