Tropical Depression Idalia is causing hazardous weather conditions in Florida as it strengthens into a tropical storm. With heavy rain, flooding, and possible storm surge possible, Floridians are being advised to prepare for the worst and to follow emergency preparedness plans. Idalia is projected to move west towards the Gulf of Mexico over the next few days and may become stronger.
