Tropical systems are forming and developing in the Atlantic Ocean. One of the most recently formed is “Tropical Storm Paulette” which is located southeast of Bermuda and should make landfall by Sunday, August 30. It has winds of nearly 70 mph and is only expected to gain strength in the coming days. Just a few days ago, the National Hurricane Center also named another tropical system, “Tropical Storm Rene” south of the Cabo Verde Islands. Although it is weaker, it is expected to strengthen soon and may even become a hurricane in the coming week.
